Organic Quinoa casserole with basil, bell peppers, asparagus, onions and garlic

1 cup Organic white Quinoa
2 cups of water
1 vegetable broth concentrate packet (I used the one intended for 8oz of water even though I'm using 16 oz. so the flavor isn't so overbearing)

Rinse the Quinoa, add the water and heat until it begins to boil, and the vegetable broth, stir and reduce to a simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the white ring forms around the grain.

A rant about life, love and progress..

           It's a crazy thing thinking about the future. It's important to have goals, work creates function, it creates character; but, it's not up to us what happens really. If you notice the causal relationships in your life like I do in mine, then you'd probably see how there's no way we could have predicted the path of connected dots that has gotten us here.
           It's a crazy thing thinking about the progress our world has undergone in the last 200 years since the industrial revolution, the creation of cars and airplanes and trains and nukes and satellites, telephone wires, fucking space heaters and submarines; it's crazy to think about the 3 reactor debacle that's happening in Japan right now, potassium Iodide sold out at every store and clerks telling the panicked public they're not allowed to order more.
          If you didn't know, people are buying Potassium Iodide because it prevents our Thyroid from taking up the radiation from the surrounding environment, and essentially fucking up all of your metabolic functions. I heard the shit has been sold out for years though, so maybe it's not in account of the fact that it is said that the radiation around Japan will be greeting the West Coast, how timely depending  on the airflow.
        Everyone has a little less information than the next guy, it's likely we'll never really know what's going on until it happens. In my opinion it's better that way, it leaves less room for uncontrolled minds to run rampant. I'm not saying spit blindly into oncoming wind and hope it doesn't hit you.

If you ask her if she understands

you'll find she speaks loudest

with the touch of her hand

she gives what she needs

so they never demand

trading true feelings

for what everyone can stand

leaving the diary tragedies

to drown on the floor of the ocean

it makes for lighter travel

without the weight of devotion

so gone are the sunsets

once painted in pure emotion

while those energetic times told of progress

the aftermath rewound us in slow motion

These days she says I'm always alright

we're all trying to get swept up in obsession
without the burden of connection
but passionate love is a blinding sight
so whats wrong with a little deception

I can still feel if I squeeze pretty tight

so it's okay to just fall in line

step by step with all the other robots

racing by loves' maze of mines 

cause everybody has got somewhere to be

there just isn't the time

to pause, collect and see

that the castles they're building are so far from free

And this place punctures like an adrenaline injection

in this schema everyone has to keep moving

slowly losing direction

speeding by landscapes

with no space for intuitive heart selection

amiable boredom is bought and sold

while rings grab fingers and settle apprehension

they annihilate all question concerning future rejection

leaving true love to rest catatonic and mute

the concept of an elevating connection

becomes too foreign to mention

so when you meet her

she'll accept your version of fine

with words like your insides are as black as mine

and don't worry baby I've seen worse crimes

when you find her she'll go with the flow

bearing caution killed desire and a faded glow

she was born into a swamp of toxic blood lines

and since her 20 year escape from that fatal vine

she's abandoned emotional pursuit

with callous bred insouciance towards attachments that bind

structural stability has demolished cloud nine

Like many French makes of the time, Soyer used a variety of engines for their motorcycles, including 
JAP, Sturmey Archer and Chaise. This particular Soyer 07S had a JAP engine but the frame was wrecked, so Barrois built his own frame—and eventually replaced the JAP motor with the 500cc Rudge unit you see here. ...I feel so blessed, the last year has been a serious whirlwind, fun times, rough times, different people different places... It's as if my life was a semi-stagnant snow globe someone shook up; and, when all the debris finally settled the familiar was replaced by the foreign, life got a thousand times more intriguing....

uh oh...this blog is about to start tracking my eating habits....red quinoa

So I'v decided that all my 'cook as I go' recipe's are starting to be too good to just forget and not write down, I mean type down, so now this blog has a cooking section, it'll probably be mostly vegan, and some vegetarian, or who knows maybe I'll become a carnivore tomorrow and teach y'all how to bbq up a mean porkchop...unlikely..

so this is...
Red Quinoa with sauteed Mushrooms, Onions, Spinach, Garlic and Asparagus in a Lemon Aioli sauce... TOPPED WITH FRIED TOFU FETA FILETS.. they're bomb.

Ingredients
8 Oz. of Red Quinoa
4 white mushrooms sliced
1/4 cup chopped onion
5 Asparagus spears
two large hand fulls of spinach
a good amount of olive oil
2 tbsp chopped garlic
2 tbsp Wild Wood Lemon Aioli zezty garlic sauce
Feta Cheese
Extra Firm High Protein Tofu

First rinse the red quinoa in cold water; for every cup of quinoa boil 2 cups of water, add the quinoa and then let simmer for about 15 minutes.
In a large sauce pan mix about 3 tbsp olive oil with a tbsp of chopped garlic and start to heat it up, after you've chopped up your onion and mushrooms toss them in the pan until they're almost done, stirring them around for about 10 minutes and then add in the spinach and the asparagus.

Drain the quinoa, add the contents of our sauce pan and then add two extra large tbsp's of Lemon Aioli and stir it all around.


For the Feta Cheese and Tofu filets

Cut blocks of extra firm tofu into long sections 2' x 2' is good, in a pan heat a little olive oil (3 tbsp for every half of block of tofu)  add in the tofu once it starts to sizzle, turn the heat down to a low medium, turn them over several times until they start to turn golden brown, then slice out thin pieces of feta cheese equal to the size of the tofu pieces and place the feta on the pan and put the tofu pieces on top of the feta and leave them cooking on a low heat for about4 or 5 minutes.
